Ammas Food is a fantastic place for authentic Malayalee and Tamil cuisine. Their food is delicious, with rich flavors that truly remind me of home. The service is excellent, and the staff is always hospitable and welcoming.I have placed both catering and regular orders through Ammas, and every time, the experience has been wonderful . One of my favorite catered orders is their Ghee Rice and Chicken Roast—it's absolutely delicious and always a hit! Beyond the restaurant, their grocery section is well-stocked with a great selection of Indian essentials, especially fresh fish. One of the best things about Ammas is that they genuinely care about their customers—they even encourage us to let them know what we need so they can stock it for future visits. If you're looking for a place that offers great food, warm service, and a well-stocked grocery section, Ammas Food is the place to go!

Amazing food! We tried the egg puffs, chole bhatura, lemon rice and gobi 65. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the chole bhatura was possibly the best thing I've ever tasted, highly recommend. It is a carry out restaurant so there are no tables inside to eat at.
When I learned that this restaurant had opened not too far from my house I was super excited and today I was finally able to go in and get some food and I am extremely happy with everything. The food is fantastic. I got chicken fry, appam and chicken stew. The owner was extremely friendly, and I also learned that they’re going to soon carry groceries as well which I’m very excited for. They also have a little bakery section and I got egg puffs from there which used to be my favorite when I used to live in India, and they are also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant/grocery store. Wish you guys a good one . AJ
This’s the best place where you can get home style food. Especially snacks items are way good🙌🏻More specific chilli bajji and paruppu vada😋no one can beat their taste, texture and consistency. Great service and excellent food😍

Solid 5 for their Thalassery Chicken Biryani; visited two different times 6 months apart but the taste is still same; Some people also call it the Malabar Style; but definitely a recommended one. Not sure about other items but the prices are definitely decent. On top; the owner was friendly and I suggest call 30 minutes ahead to place fhe order:
Who would have thought that Hales Corners would have such amazing food! I didn’t realize it was a grocery store so when I went in to get some food to go I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone inside was super nice. I asked the cook what was good and he offered me samples of their special chicken and chicken biryani. I ended up getting both. I got a handful of other little snacks and they were all amazing. The pickle yogurt sauce he gave me went wonderfully with the special chicken. The chicken is a little spicy and the yogurt sauce cools it down a bit and adds a tang that makes it truly amazing. I can’t rave enough about this place. One of my new go to spots.
This is a family owned business which has togo menu only with a small grocery section. They do get very fresh produce on Thursday and sell at unbelievable prices. Nobody in Milwaukee can match his prices. Keep in mind that the wait times for the checkout may longer on Thursday evening due to the fresh produce. Their menu changes on dairy basis and the menu gets shared on WhatsApp group. My kids love their Medu Vada, parippu Vada and Chilli Bajji. Since I am a vegetarian I can’t comment on no vegetarian food. They do make very good idli and poori and the prices are very affordable. If you are from Kerala and love Kerala and South Indian food, this is the restaurant for you. The prices of the groceries are pretty competitive to the other stores.
